Digest = me + a possible glass of wine + reflection the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into future happenings. You're Welcome.

Spring cleaning has to be one of the most boring things I’ve done in my entire life. But you know what is not boring and really made so much better having cleaned all spring?! Dinner parties. And lazy afternoon get togethers in the sun and easy brunch with friends at home. I am a firm believer the best invite (and certainly the most exclusive) is the home gathering. I simply love entertaining at home and I love to be hosted and simply venturing out after a long winter’s nap. The renewed connection to friends and family this time is positively exhilarating.

Speaking of emerging… I finally got a lot of my new work up online and the gallery is now open… I’m still figure out hours, as usual. One gem this month has been just being home. I have loved being able to paint and to be in the gallery. The chairs pictured above are a collection of 6 and a major work in progress, but I have had so much fun painting them.

Newport is waking up - signs of spring are everywhere. Old standbys like the re-opening of Sweet Berry Farm and Farmer’s Daughter are on the horizon. We will start seeing charming farm stands on our country roads and all our garden shops too. We have some fresh flower days happening soon and not just for Mother's Day!

A new event is here next weekend Art Newport & Ostara: The Fine Arts Ball present by Newport Artists Collective. Im not participating - my hands are full with my own art life ! but I’m glad to see it. There are auctions too - The Newport Preservation Society’s Newport Mansions Exclusive Experiences Spring Auction is open as of today. I will be hosting my very own exclusive live auction with items benefiting the Boys & Girls Club Newport. This will be a lively and engaging event so check your inboxes in early April to get in on the fun for what is bound to be unlike any auction we’ve done before!

Something you may notice in the gallery is an interactive piece of magic. I’ve been working behind the scenes to create an element to the gallery that allows visitors to get an in depth look at my process in making the work. I am making these videos available online under each art piece listing so you can get a glimpse of the gallery experience at home too. They’re just short clips, but I think they tell a lot about the art and it feels like a new way for me to share my ideas. I’m slowly building my catalog of video blogs to accompany each piece. I hope it helps to connect the viewer to my perspective, my inspirations behind creating or buying a piece for the gallery. You will have to let me know what you think.

We are coming up on the final pre-order for my Unusual Lifestyle collection - and there are still limited edition totes left too... free with your order! I'm holding on this introductory pricing as long as I can!!
