Phases of the Moon By Kristen Coates

This installation piece comprised of 9 mixed media assemblages of archival paper, ink and paint, is a fantastic exploration of color theory and I can't stop looking at it and thinking about it differently each time. I thought for sure I would be alright with separating each frame individually, but now that it's finished, I am going to keep these together as a set. Perhaps I'll make more to sell as singular pieces or pairs. You will have to let me know what you think. In the meantime, I'm going to get this installed on the wall in the gallery - unless you need it installed on yours. You will have to let me know about that too.

I'm in and out this week as I start to work in my space on Bellevue as hybrid of painting studio and gallery. I've been recording something fun I'm almost ready to share... I always think these bigger projects are going to take a few days and it ends up being months or years... but we are almost there with this one!
