If you have been following along on Instagram, you might have noticed a change in locale recently. A long overdue adventure to Venice, Italy (planned for Feb 2020 no less) was finally taken. Unlike all of the other places I have been in Italy, Venice is essentially its own country. Lucky for Venetians, both the water surges this winter and Covid numbers seem to be staying at bearable levels. I am tempted to write up a blog post of its own, but I honestly think I am still digesting the trip, but let me know if you want to hear about it.

Getting back to Newport and setting the store up for springtime was a dream come true. We are fully stocked in candles, books, glassware and there is nearly a mile of art in gallery right now with more on the way! Also on the way, about a dozen new pillows just in time to refresh the flat lumps on your sofa and guest bed (I am projecting here in a major way). 

It has been so nice to start to ease our way back into some normalcy. I don't want to speak too soon, but dinner parties and gallery openings and even plain old maskless coffee shop meet-ups seem like a reality again. It feels like we have so much to look forward to this spring. 

Another sign of fun on the horizon is the annual spring fundraiser in support of NewportFILM. Don't wait to get your tickets - this event sells out! The theme this year is Party in the Garden and is appropriately being held at Stoneacre Gardens. Garden costume attire encouraged - hope to see you there!
