The Sunday Night Digest = me + glass of wine + reflection on the previous weeks ongoings and a glimpse into happenings next week. You're Welcome.
The first piece I painted when I got home - a landscape of the sunset of the last day driving back to Newport. Coastal Sunset, 2020
Miami was brilliant and I feel really lucky to have spent time there and get a full infusion of sunshine and plenty of downtime. It was exactly what I needed after our best holiday season yet and now home with a whole new wave of gorgeous business coming in, I feel ready refreshed and wildly inspired. I learned a lot about myself traveling solo for weeks on end and experienced so much I am still absorbing and processing. I’m sure there will be more on this and The Coates Residency, but for now I’m just enjoying my new found headspace.
First on my calendar this month is a two part workshop happening Wednesday and Thursday this week. Although I love hosting workshops, this year is already so busy I don’t think I can do more than this one class so if you can make it there are two spots left! Sign up here

Then! I’m excited to throw open my doors to my newly stocked and freshly curated shop on Friday, February 14! And why not do it with a throwback to our Fresh Flower Fridays perfect for Valentine's Day?! Join me and Loren Hope at my store for all things lovely and inspired including flowers, art, jewelry, cocktails and an opportunity to craft your own love letter have one written for you!
There's a half drafted blog post coming on what kept me sane, awake and entertained while driving nearly 4000 miles last month (that's roughly 70 hours with traffic!), but here's a playlist I made that's fun and a nod to Miami and my friends Jillian and Keith who came down to get down. And we really got down (future IGTV coming on that and a whole new series of art!). Check out the playlist here.

I can hardly believe we are breezing through winter so quickly, but it means I am finally in a place with a major project where I can share some details with you! Last fall I was asked to curate the art for Hammetts Hotel in downtown Newport and this has been a dream project. Peregrine and Main Street Hospitality, the hotel and hospitality groups have been incredible to work with and their inclusion of local artists throughout their hotel in a thoughtful way has been truly rewarding to help bring to fruition. As Hammetts Hotel comes together to open this spring I’ll be able to show you more and invite you to see the gorgeous property in person! In the meantime I hope to be able to share a few more collaborations in the works. But in the meantime, I have a store to get ready to open!
Happy weekend from our family to yours
See you in the gallery and online. Much love XO Kristen
